Description Yamaha Brake Caliper Seal Kit – RD250/350/400 (73-78) XS TX. Includes main seals, dust seals, and small seal used between caliper halves and seal grease. Each kit services one caliper. Note: Yamaha no longer supplies red rubber grease packets witht he seal kit. This vegetable based grease is applied to the seals and helps keep them from seaping. Red rubber grease used on the seals will not contaminate your brake fluid. You can purchase red rubber brake grease at most automotive parts shops; However, most of the time, you can just lube the seals with brake fluid when rebuilding, but if you have any seaping after the rebuild then apply the red rubber grease to them. Note: This kit includes the small square section seal that fits between the caliper halves.
